Black Friday 2015: Jury’s Verdict
#EcomChat on Monday 30th November will discuss “Black Friday 2015”.
We had a chat back in September about the value and necessity of Black Friday for retailers. This chat follows on and takes place on Cyber Monday, right after the heart of this year’s storm. The aim is to review what happened this year, the highs and lows, and what practical learning retailers can take away to help them prepare for next year.
We’re being joined by the Daryl and the team at Ampersand, who produced a free report, Avoiding Black Friday Disaster, which explores how businesses should get themselves ready to handle the traffic and sales spike. Feel free to download and share. They also ran a live retail tracker during the event, an aggregated view of retail site availability.
As ever: there will be 3 conversation starter questions & anyone is welcome to join in using the #EcomChat hashtag on Twitter.
Here are the 3 questions.
- Was Black Friday a retail success or failure?
- Have retailers learned from last year’s mistakes?
- What should we take away to inform plans for next year?
Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.
Thanks, Dan & James.
