Site Audits for Ecommerce
In honour of the industry wonder that is BrightonSEO, this week’s #EcomChat has a SEO whiff about it.
Most SEOs do regular site audits, to varying degrees of technical depth. However, it’s rarer to find people outside the SEO team with knowledge of setting up, running and interpreting site audits. Understanding how to do a site audit is an important skill for in ecommerce because information architecture, indexation efficiency and site performance underpin ecommerce performance.
Today’s chat will discuss how you can use site audits to help you identify issues and opportunities.
Here are the 3 questions:
- What can and should you audit on an ecommerce website?
- What problems can be encountered running audits and how do you avoid them?
- How do you evaluate and prioritise the output from an audit?
