This week’s topic – On Site Search – Monday 10th December 2012
This week’s #ecomchat will take place on Monday at 13.00 UK time. The topic for discussion is On Site Search. Site search is so important for e-commerce – for most Clients I’ve worked with, visits with site search converts at x2 (or more!) better than non-bounce visits without search. Why? Well perhaps we will find out on Monday when the e-commerce world comes together to share pearls of wisdom.
We’ll be focusing the discussion around three key questions. In our experience, these are the most important issues that need to be discussed in relation to on site search.
Question 1:
What are the essential features of on-site search for e-commerce?
Question 2:
What is the best soluti0n – customising the e-commerce platform’s default search engine or integrating a specialist 3rd party solution like SLi Systems or Elastic Search.
Question 3:
Which websites do search brilliantly and what impact does this have on the user experience?
