Making apps successful

April 4, 2016

#EcomChat on Monday 4th April will discuss “Making apps successful”.

It seems that the ‘should we/shouldn’t we’ invest in native apps debate rages on. Despite the predictions that apps would fall away as mobile web capability improved, app usage has continued to grow, especially in sectors like gaming. But not all apps are successful and usage rates after download still drop away for many app owners.

This chat will look at how ecommerce teams can use native apps and the techniques required to make an app successful i.e. it achieves its goals, whether that’s revenue or user engagement.

As ever: there will be 3 conversation starter questions and anyone is welcome to join in using the #EcomChat hashtag on Twitter.

Here are the 3 questions:

  1. What makes an app successful (and what does success mean)?
  2. How can you optimise your app store listing?
  3. How do apps fit in with mobile web?

Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.

Thanks, Dan & James.

p.s. If you’re wondering “what’s this about?” there is a page explaining all just here.
