Inventory Management for Ecommerce

July 11, 2016

#EcomChat on Monday 11th July will discuss “Inventory Management for Ecommerce”.

Putting products on a website is just the start of inventory management for ecommerce. Demand changes seasonally, and at short notice, and stock levels fluctuate. Sometimes you run a surplus, other times items sell out too fast for you to replenish stock. Today’s chat will look at tips and techniques for ecommerce teams to manage stock levels and use smart trading to help buying teams clear old lines and push new ranges.

As ever: there will be 3 conversation starter questions and anyone is welcome to join in using the #EcomChat hashtag on Twitter.

Here are the 3 questions:

  1. What can you do on your website to manage inventory levels?
  2. What external opportunities are there for stock clearance and extending your online brand?
  3. What are the common issues & what processes/tools can you use to help avoid them?

Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.

Thanks, Dan & James.

p.s. If you’re wondering “what’s this about?” there is a page explaining all just here.
