Audience Segmentation
This week’s #EcomChat will be on the theme of “Audience Segmentation for Ecommerce”. The chat will take place at 1pm UK time on Twitter.
Segmenting audiences is a common approach for helping marketers tailor strategies and campaigns based on shared characteristics amongst users. However, there are many ways to do segmentation, with a wealth of qualitative and quantitative data available. So this week we’ll be discussing sensible ways to approach segmentation and how you can use data to make customer segments relevant and useful.
As ever, there will be 3 conversation starter questions:
- What criteria do you use for customer segmentation and why?
- Assuming a limited budget, what data can and should you use?
- Are there any pitfalls with targeting users based on segments?
