Ecommerce Merchandising without AI/ML
#EcomChat on Monday 30th September will explore online merchandising for ecommerce stores but with a twist.
Increasingly AI/ML tools are used to automate personalisation and product/content targeting at scale but not every team has access to this type of tool.
So how can an ecommerce team without an AI/ML capability apply mechandising tactics to their website? How can they build up a business case to persuade the budget holders to loosen the strings and invest in better automation capability?
As usual there will be three questions to guide the conversation:
- Where do you focus? How do you identify merchandising opportunities without an automation tool?
- Which areas of an ecommerce store are the most important to test for merchandising, and what can you test?
- Without personalisation capability, how can you make campaigns are relevant as possible to visitors?
Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday 30th September and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.
Next week we’ll follow on with ‘The Role of AI and ML in Ecommerce Merchandising’, so we get a rounded picture of how ecommerce teams apply personalisation and trading tactics to drive conversion rate, AOV and margin.
Thanks, Dan & James.
