Apps for Ecommerce

April 16, 2018

We all know about the rise of mobile commerce. Mobile surpassed desktop for share of traffic many moons ago, and is quickly catching up for conversion rate, with some retailers reporting a higher conversion rate on mobile during peak campaigns like Black Friday.

But what about native apps? Has the continued development in mobile web made native apps redundant, or at least less essential to mobile growth? Have new technologies like PWA and AMP replaced the need to develop native apps?

Today’s chat will discuss the role and relevance of apps to ecommerce in 2018.

Here are the 3 questions:

  1. Has the purpose of having an app changed for retailers?
  2. Is there still a place for native apps, and if so, what is this?
  3. How do you find the right app strategy for your business?
