Basket & Browse Abandonment for Ecommerce

October 26, 2020

#EcomChat on Monday 26th October will explore what ecommerce teams can do on and off-site when a shopper abandons their journey.

Basket abandonment is well-established, yet the tactics used vary considerably and most ecommerce sites rely on abandonment email campaigns rather than targeting users before they leave the website or via remarketing afterwards.

Browse abandonment is common with remarketing ads but again fewer sites employ exit intent campaigns to try and keep users on the website.

There are three starter questions as always to prompt debate:

  1. When & how should you target abandoned browsers with marketing?
  2. What marketing & merchandising options do abandoned baskets present to ecommerce teams?
  3. How can you prove that abandonment campaigns are genuinely driving incremental revenue?

We’re sure we’ll end up covering much more!

Thanks, Dan & James.
