Site Search for Ecommerce

February 14, 2016

#EcomChat on Monday 15th February will discuss “Using search on ecommerce websites”.

We all know that search is important and search journeys can convert far better than non-search journeys (emphasis on ‘can’). But what does search really mean for an ecommerce website? What different types of search to customers perform and how do websites need to cater for them? This chat will drill down into site search good practice and look at the latest trends, reviewing sites that do it well/poorly and why, and the technology vendors out there supporting ecommerce teams.

As ever: there will be 3 conversation starter questions and anyone is welcome to join in using the #EcomChat hashtag on Twitter.

Here are the 3 questions:

  1. What are the latest trends/good practice for site search?
  2. Which websites do search well?
  3. Which vendors should ecommerce teams be taking seriously and why?

Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.

Thanks, Dan & James.

p.s. If you’re wondering “what’s this about?” there is a page explaining all just here.
