Paid Media for Small Businesses & Ecommerce Startups
Today’s chat will focus on ‘paid media’, particularly in the context of smaller ecommerce businesses and ecom startups.
Paid media covers PPC, Paid Social advertising, Retargeting, general Display advertising, and – in the broader sense – things such as advertorials, TV media, radio, and print.
PPC used to be the ‘go to’ channel for any ecom company. This has changed over the years: For some markets it’s too expensive now; for some, Instagram is the main channel of focus, for some it’s Youtube, for some Facebook, and more.
Join today’s chat to talk about this more fragmented paid media market, and how small ecom businesses can take advantage of the opportunities within it.
As ever, there will be 3 conversation starter questions:
- Which ‘paid media’ channels are available for small ecommerce businesses & ecommerce startups? Which are more/less effective, and why?
- With costs constantly on the rise, what are the pitfalls out there for each paid media channel, that smaller ecommerce companies should look out for?
- If you were a small ecommerce company, what approach would you take to testing and measuring paid media, to make the most of your money?

Thanks, Dan & James.
