Getting ROI from Digital Marketing

September 12, 2016

#EcomChat on Monday 12th September will discuss “Getting ROI from digital marketing”.

Most organisations have been increasing investment in digital marketing campaigns and resources (people, process & tech) steadily over the past few years, to drive acquisition and retention. Much of this investment is going into traditional channels like email, paid search and affiliate, but there has also been diversification as technology enables new ad/promotion opportunities e.g. remarketing via social media, carousel ads on Facebook, RLSAs on Google etc.

With the increased investment and growth in ad formats and channel opportunities, measurement is a bigger challenge and attribution is hugely important to understand what campaigns are really working and how they contribute to KPIs. So this chat will discuss how marketers can get ROI from digital marketing and the pitfalls they need to be aware of when investing in multiple channels.

As ever: there will be 3 conversation starter questions and anyone is welcome to join in using the #EcomChat hashtag on Twitter.

Here are the 3 questions:

  1. How do you prove that your digital marketing is delivering ROI?
  2. What are the key challenges when trying to measure the impact of multiple campaigns and marketing channels?
  3. How can you use insights from one channel to help improve performance in other channels?

Join us at 1pm UK time on Monday and do share this post either on Twitter or via email with anyone you think would be interested.

Thanks, Dan & James.
